An in-person information day was organized, which was attended by interested students. During the info day, Vice rector of the Department of International Cooperation, Prof. Shefik Shehu, warmly welcomed the students. Mr.Valon Shabani from the Career Center participated in the presentation, translated and explained. The University is particularly interested in the possibility how their students can apply for this transitional grant, in this important period when there is big demand for good workers and good employers.  On the info day the students who were present, were really interested and engaged in the discussion and showed willingness to participate (having in mind the language barrier). They wanted to learn how to improve their technical skills and be better equipped for the labour market. Also, high interest was noticed for the grant because they don’t get any reimbursement for practical work (lawyers,natural sciences and technical faculties).
Main topics of discussions for the students were:
 
  • If they are eligible to participate if they have unfinished exams (which they plan to finish in  January)?
  • Questions about the deadline and if they can apply all documents except proof of graduation (which they plan to provide when they graduate)?
  • Details about the office and where to find us for giving the physical application forms.
  • A question about if we will provide them with companies or they have to look for them?
  • If the students can get top-up from the company on the 250 euro we provide (meals, extra money for transport ect)?
  • If students from other years can join the career days?
  • If students who finished 1 year ago can apply?
  • Can we send the documents in Albanian Language?
Overall, it was a successful meeting filled with engaging students that want to improve themselves and need help in their first career applications.
